GROUP PROFILE

Our Managing Director Mr. P.K Palanisamy started our business in the year 1984 as Motherland Textiles in powerloom segment with an office in Somanur. We have continuously achieved significant growth and by the year 1990, we had a daily production of 1 Lakh Meters per day in Powerloom Cotton Fabrics by giving Jobwork to more than 2,000 Powerlooms in and around entire Somanur and Palladam belt in Coimbatore district. We setup our first Sizing unit in the year 1992 under the name Ambica Sizing. Then we gradually started to expand into the Autoloom segment in the year 2000. Our Autoloom division was established as Motherland Textile India Pvt Ltd., in 2005 in Karumathampatti with a 16 Acre Campus with 141 Sulzer PU Looms, Three inhouse Sizing units and 48 Brand New Picanol Summum Airjet looms providing employment to over 300 people.

Our Managing Director’s Son Mr. P. Santhosh Kumar joined as Executive Director in 2014 and was Instrumental in setting up the Airjet Division in 2015.We now having the highest autoloom weaving capacity in the entire Coimbatore district with in-house weaving of 189 looms(Sulzer-141 and Airjet-48) and outsourcing to about 120 looms with an average production of 85,000 metres per day.Furthermore,we ventured into windmills as early as 2008 and have 6 MW in windmills to cater to our industrial consumption.Our Managing director and Director are also in talks with advisors and various contractors with regard to foraying into the solar energy segment.

Weaving

Airjet Division – 48 New Picanol Summum Looms of 340 CM and 190 CM.
Sulzer Division – 141 Sulzer PU Looms Producing Shirting and Shelting qualities.
Outsourcing Division – Jobwork to about 120 Airjet and Sulzer Looms in Palladam and Somanur belt in Coimbatore Distict.

Wind Energy Division

With a total 6MW Suzlon Windmills Located in Tirunalveli, Tirupur and Dharapuram it caters to our industrial consumption of about 72 lakh units per year.

Weaving Production Per Day

1) Narrow Width – 60,000 Meters per day. (Cotton, Rayon, Lycra, Modal Fabrics of 63″ and 48″).

2) Wider Width – 25,000 Meters per day. (Bed Sheeting from 200 TC to 1500 TC in Cotton and CVC).
